Anderson Bat, Team Anderson Take Silver at AAU National Championships

[July 29, 2010] (Orlando, FL) As the lone Southern Californian team competing in the 11u age division at AAU's National Championships, Team Anderson 11u arrived in the Sunshine State ready to compete against a tough 32-team tournament field comprised of the nation's elite 11 year-old travel baseball clubs.

Powered by Anderson Bat Company's KXR -8 and KXR -10, Team Anderson 11u was paced by an explosive offensive attack, which averaged more than 10 runs per game and included a parade of doubles, triples, and timely homeruns en route to a silver medal finish.

Team Anderson 11u went undefeated through six pool play games and earned the #2 seed heading into the elimination rounds. In bracket play, Team Anderson was able to overcome multiple weather delays and two of the tournament's most talented teams behind several clutch performances in the batter's box and three determined efforts on the mound.

"The boys played very well, and both versions of the KXR performed great as expected," remarked Charles Chatman, Anderson Bat Company's Director of Baseball Operations. "Our boys get into the batter's box with a lot of confidence because of the bats they're using."

Team Anderson 11u finished the week long tournament with a 9-1 overall record and with four players selected to the AAU National Championship's All-Tournament Team.

Anderson Bat Company would like to congratulate Team Anderson 11u on their silver medal performance in Orlando. Anderson Bat Company and the Team Anderson program will be competing in next month's Cooperstown NATC, a 96-team event which is widely recognized as the most prominent 12u tournament in the nation.
