Anderson Bat, Team Anderson Fastpitch Teams Complete Dominant Summer

[August 9, 2010] (Orange County, CA) In only its second year in existence, the Team Anderson fastpitch program exploded onto the national travel softball scene, entering the competitive summer tournament season with two teams qualified to compete in several of the country's premier events.

Powered by Anderson Bat Company's NanoTek®, RockeTech™, and TechZilla™ fastpitch bats, Team Anderson '99 and Team Anderson '97 are both paced by a relentless and overpowering offensive attack, winning numerous local events and earning births into the prestigious Triple Crown World Series and ASA National Championships.

Team Anderson '99 got off to a fast start at the Triple Crown World Series in Park City, UT. Led by the powerful bats of Rachel Abboud, Taylor Okada, Megan Holland, and Emily Eudy and the dominant pitching of Becky Winder, Team Anderson '99 made quick work of their competition, finishing the week-long event with a 10-1 overall record and the program's first major fastpitch tournament championship.

Poised to match the success of the group in Utah, Team Anderson '97 made the long trip to ASA's National Championships with a big target on their back. Anthony Sota's Team Anderson '97 has been widely regarded as being one of the very best 12u teams in the nation, and they lived up to their billing on the big stage in Indiana behind catcher Shelbi Evans and her NanoTek® FP. After action that included four shutouts, three international tiebreakers, and two "walk-off" wins, Team Anderson '97 emerged undefeated through the quarterfinals and finished third overall in the toughest and most prestigious fastpitch tournament in the country.

"Our girls played very well, and we are very proud of their success," remarked Charles Chatman, Anderson Bat Company's Director of Baseball and Softball Operations.

Anderson Bat Company would like to congratulate the Team Anderson fastpitch program on their achievements this year.
